Três Hipóteses sobre a Crise Transatlântica
Three Hypotheses on the Transatlantic Crisis
Keywords:
NATO, Transatlantic Crisis, Transatlantic Alliance, International OrganizationsAbstract
The western unit is sometimes taken as the natural state in relations between the liberal democracies that dominate both sides of the Atlantic. The strength of historical roots, common values, civilizational affinities are supposed to impose a transatlantic community in themselves.
The crisis is the other name of the Atlantic Alliance. Founded under the sign of the international crisis to ensure Western European resistance against the Soviet Union's strategic and ideological pressure and to avoid a new total war, the crisis has always been the normal state in relations between the members of the Atlantic Alliance, without any of successive crises has jeopardized the continuity of the western defense community.
