Centered on Europe but without avoiding references to non-European countries, this text seeks to clarify the state of the issue dealt with, especially from a legal point of view, and to state the main arguments that have been advanced for and against gay marriage.

Centrado na Europa mas sem evitar referências a países não europeus, este texto procura dar conta do estado da questão tratada, sobretudo do ponto de vista jurídico, e enunciar os principais argumentos que têm sido aduzidos a favor e contra o casamento entre homossexuais (do mesmo sexo).
